Setup a Rule & Rule by Scoring value - Push Notification Data Forwarding

You can assign a rule to trigger your sales team be notified if specific answers are chosen by your potential lead.  You can even setup a scoring value within your multiple choice questions that can be used to trigger this.

Part 1: To setup Push Notification emails, first log into your iCapture Back Office:

  1. Click step 1 of your questionnaire to Edit
  2. Click the "Data Forwarding" tab in the Setup timeline
  3. Click the "Create New Push Notification Email Template" button
  4. Give the action a name (ie. Trade Show 2015 HOT LEAD)
  5. Name your action and select the action type "Forward Each Capture via Email"
  6. Click "Create Action and Setup"
  7. Edit the email to, cc and bcc address options
  8. Add your email subject 
  9. Click "Save Settings and Return to Actions Menu".
  10. (Optional) You can assign a rule to run when a capture is made. For more information see How to Setup and Assign a rule.

At this point your Push Notification is active and will begin forwarding emails immediately. 

Part 2: Trigger Push Notification by rule if specific answers are chosen

  1. Click step 1 of your questionnaire to Edit
  2. Click the "Push Notification" tab in the Setup timeline
  3. Click the "Create New Push Notification Email Template" button and set up your Data forward rule to notify your internal sales team.
  4. Click Assign Rule and then in the Pop over, click "View All Rules / Create New Rule"
  5. Name your Rule.
  6. Click the long dropdown and choose your answer(s) to trigger the rule.  You may select multiple answers in a single dropdown to get an OR result.  If you choose an answer from each dropdown, you will get an AND result.  OR means that any answer selected will trigger the rule.  AND means that all answers have to be selected to trigger the rule.
  7. When finished, click Submit New Rule.
  8. Click Return to Assign Push Notification Rule.
  9. Select your new rule from the Select a Rule drop down menu and click Assign Rule.

Your rule will now trigger whenever the proper answer(s) are selected.

Part 3: Trigger Push Notification by Score

  1. Click step 1 of your questionnaire to Edit any Multiple choice question you want to trigger this rule.
  2. Scroll down to Edit answers and click the check box for Score "Show".
  3. Enter the score value needed in each of the fields and then click Save Answers.  Repeat this portion of setup for all multiple choice questions you would like to include.
  4. Click the "Push Notification" tab in the Setup timeline
  5. Click the "Create New Push Notification Email Template" button and set up your Data forward rule to notify your internal sales team.
  6. Click Assign Rule and then in the Pop over, click "View All Rules / Create New Rule"
  7. Name your Rule.
  8. Click the long dropdown and choose your answer(s) to trigger the rule.  You may select multiple answers in a single dropdown to get an OR result.  If you choose an answer from each dropdown, you will get an AND result.  OR means that any answer selected will trigger the rule.  AND means that all answers have to be selected to trigger the rule.
  9. Click the dropdown for Add Score Criteria to This Rule? and change the answer to "Yes".
  10. In Score Criteria, choose a numerical equation for the rule.  EX:  "equal to" or "greater than or equal to".
  11. Add the sum total value needed to trigger the rule.
  12. When finished, click Submit New Rule.
  13. Click Return to Assign Push Notification Rule.
  14. Select your new rule from the Select a Rule drop down menu and click Assign Rule.
